There are times when a combination of counseling and medication management is recommended. PCS offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management of psychotropic medication by our board certified psychiatrist, Dr. Ronald McFadden.

Psychological Evaluations & Testing – Our clinical psychologist provides psychological testing and evaluations.

Intensive Behavioral Health Services – Area children through age 21 can receive services through our IBHS program. IBHS aims to increase positive, socially appropriate behaviors. This service is family and child centered and addresses the child’s behavior where it occurs, in the home, school, or social settings.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy - (EMDR) EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that has been successful in assisting people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, post traumatic stress and other emotional conditions. As difficult feelings and images are processed via eye movement pattern of EMDR, issues are more readily resolved and individuals are able to achieve a more calm and peaceful state of mind.

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) - This program is for families who have children ages 2.5 up to 7 years that have behavior problems. It has also been identified as a Best Practice for treatment of child abuse. There are two phases to PCIT: Child-Directed Interaction and Parent-Directed Interaction. During Child-Directed Interaction (CDI) parents learn to use skills such as praise and imitation and are taught to avoid questions and criticism. In Parent-Directed Interaction, the second phase of PCIT, parents are taught to provide clear, direct commands and to provide consistent consequences.
